MEETING NOTICE

Minutes of March
11, 2008
George Conover called the meeting to order at 7:50PM with
18 members present. The minutes of August 12th were read and accepted as read. The
Treasurer’s report was read and accepted as read. Report on file.
On Friday September 5th, George received a call from Atlantic County Emergency Management and was told that
our regatta was cancelled due to hurricane coming up the east coast. Atlantic County was closing the lake
for the weekend and lowering the water.
George has since called Atlantic County and Hamilton Township
to get new dates for a reschedule. One of the dates was October 18th and 19th.
Peggy Wendt made a motion to reschedule our regatta for October 18th and 19th and Frank Beck
second the motion. All present members in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.
George will call County and Township and tell them of our decision. Atlantic City Press will be
advertising our new dates.
Jodi Brown’s mother, Joan Ludwig, has frozen what she can for
the preparation of the worker’s lunches.
K & K Insurance will be notified of the new date.
Mrs. Murphy is very happy about our rescheduling.
Bob Zabady is going to bring his GP for exhibition laps.
He is donating $500.00 to WRBA to do this. It cost WRBA $50.00 to add him to our running classes
with the APBA.
Since our raffle for Dover Tickets was time sensitive we did the drawing at our meeting. Frank Beck
won the raffle. Congratulations Frank!!
WRBA made a profit of $331.50 for sale of shirts.
Thank you to all who bought a shirt for this fund raiser.
A special
thanks to our Program Committee, Frank Beck, Tami Hickerson, Warren Brown III, Tabatha Carr and Bob Wood, for a really nice
job on the Program Book.
Janice Sutton has received a letter from the Paper Waiter, Millville,
NJ as to our Christmas Party reservations. All members present want to try another restaurant in area this
year. Janice Sutton will try to find another place. Final decision will be made at our
October meeting.
Frank Beck is going to call Don and Vicki Kolb to see if Quads for tow vehicles will be available for our new dates.
Karen Rivera mad a motion to hold a 50/50 each day of our race. Barbara Brown second the motion.
All in favor…motion carried.
With no further business, old or new, Dave Sutton made
a motion to adjourn and Karen Rivera second the motion. Adjourned at 9:20 PM.
