MEETING NOTICE

PLACE: WHEATON BILLAGE CRAFT BUILDING

MILLVILLE, NEW JERSEY

TIME 7:30 PM

Minutes of August 12, 2008

     George Conover called the meeting to order at 7:43 PM with 23 members present.  The minutes of July 8^th were read and Peggy Wendt brought to our attention that there was an omission in Class Sponsors.  Eric Tate Construction is sponsoring the Pro-Stock Class.  With that addition, the minutes were accepted.  The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted as read.  Report on file.

     George talked to MaryAnn Murphy and she wanted him to see if K & K Insurance would insure the Memorial Trophy.  George has to contact K & K and ask.

     Barbara Brown did the voice over for our ad video for Channel 40.  Mary Ann Murphy has contacted FOX Channel 29, channel 5, in this area, for a video for advertising.

     K & K Insurance has sent George the insurance papers for the Township and County.

     The Hamilton Township Fire Company has been reminded of out race date and Bill Densten will notify the Millville Rescue and Ambulance Squad.

     Buster Garton has been notified of the beach change and will stop by the Pit Area some time this week to look.  He said that by George’s description of the change he didn’t think there would be a problem for the crane.

     We will have 2, maybe 3 Quads and 2 Pick-up trucks for tow vehicles from Mike’s Famous Chrysler-Dodge in Egg Harbor City.  Mike Kane and Mitch Brown will bring their boats to be used for towing. 

     John Fitzgerald has the trophies ordered.  Jodi Brown will be in charge and do the worker lunches this year.  We need volunteer Flag person for the Starting Line.

     After a lengthy discussion, all present in favor of NOT having a shuttle bus this year.

     Pit Passes will be on sale at each gate for $10.00 for Saturday or Sunday or both. 

     Millville Car Show went very well.  Over 300 cars and 2 boats with a lot of interest in the boats.  Dave Sutton brought his NM and Bill Densten brought Bruce Densten’s 5 Liter.

     Jodi Brown and her mother, Joan Ludwig, will be hosting a Pot Luck dinner on Saturday evening.  Bring your favorite dish to help feed the gang and also B.Y.O.B.

     With no further business, old or new, Karen Rivera made a motion to adjourn and Jodi Brown second the motion.  Adjourned at 8:30 PM.
