MEETING NOTICE

PLACE: WHEATON BILLAGE CRAFT BUILDING

MILLVILLE, NEW JERSEY

November 11, 2008

TIME 7:30 PM

Minutes of October 14, 2008

     George Conover called the meeting to order with 26 members present.  The minutes of September 9, 2008 were read and accepted as read.  The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted as read.  Report on File.

     Warren Brown, III reported that the Police Explorers could not make the new date of Oct. 18 and 19.  George called around and Buena Township Explorers might be available.  Talked to a Mr. John Cline.  Egg Harbor Twp. Explorers would like to be notified next year.

     WRBA sent flowers to MaryAnn Murphy which she thanked us for and said they were very pretty.

     Peggy Wendt’s mother passed away this month and WRBA sent flowers.  WRBA has received Thank You cards for both.  Cards were passed around for members to read at the meeting.

     Al Huck has been ill and a card was passed around the meeting for all to sign.  George will mail the card.

     Daniel J. Murphy, Jr. memorial Award was shown to all at the meeting and also the keeper cup.  Insurance must be taken out on trophy (attachment to homeowner’s) by receipt for one year until trophy is returned.

     Wildwoods Hydrofest will be on Columbus Day Weekend (Oct. 10 and 11) next year.

     Receipts were asked for by APBA for the $725.00 Grant that was awarded to WRBA.  George sent these receipts and all is okay.

     The WRBA Christmas Party is going to be at The Inn at Sugar Hill in Mays Landing, NJ on December 12, 2008.  Janice Sutton contacted another restaurant in Millville, NJ but they could not accommodate.  Also the Library Restaurant was contacted but out of our price range.  George Conover made a motion that we have our party at The Inn at Sugar Hill. 23 in favor and 3 opposed.  Motion carried for the Inn at Sugar hill.

     John Fitzgerald reported on Dover Race raffle for next year.  Tickets will be $210.00.  Must have a deposit in by 9/10/2009 for April 2010 Race.

     Region 3 Annual Business Meeting will be on November 2, 2008.  An APBA circular has been sent out for place, time and directions to all APBA members. 

     With no further business, old or new, Mike Kane made a motion to adjourn and Jodi Brown second the motion.  Adjourned at 8:43 PM.
